England is to enter another national Covid-19 lockdown from tonight, which will remain in place for more than a month, the Prime Minister has announced. In effect, the country will return to the first lockdown in March – this means that we must temporarily close our doors yet again until further notice.
Our immediate priorities are now: to do everything we can to help our staff, most of whom will now not be coming to work; to make plans to protect the financial security of the Club during and after this period of closure; and to work together to maintain and support our PSC community. Management and the Board will be discussing plans to address all three of these priorities in the coming week, and we will update members following next Monday’s Board meeting.
We are aware of the incredible value our members place on their own health & fitness and it has been amazing to see so many of you back in recent months. We continue to receive overwhelming feedback from members that the physical and mental health benefits of being able to use our facilities are significant.
We recognise that the next few weeks will be challenging for many of you, and those around you, but rest assured we will be here on the other side to welcome you again. Stay safe, stay as active as you safely can, follow all Government guidelines on modes of behaviour during this lockdown and we will see you when we see you.
With very best wishes to you all. Paddington Sports Club is a two court club with plenty to offer for beginners to the more advanced players.
